Launched in 2022, the GMGSF scholarship aims to provide our recipients the support needed to pursue a games degree and open up future career pathways in the industry. All GMGSF Scholarships are awarded on a case by case basis to families and students that demonstrate financial need.

Note: Only US based applicants are eligible for a GMGSF college scholarships at this time. Read the full list of eligibility criteria below.

College Scholarship overview

  • Scholarship Grant Amount: $10,000; awarded as $2,500 per year upon successful completion of credits for 4 years

  • Additional Benefits:

    • Industry Mentorship

    • Internship Placement Support

    • Career-readiness and Job Placement Support

  • Grant Duration: Up to four years (Subject to Recipient’s Continued Eligibility). Year 5 renewal on a case by case basis.

  • Continued Eligibility Requirements:

    Recipients must meet the following ongoing criteria to receive each subsequent installment: 

    • (renewal): Continued enrollment and progress in games degree/program

    • Continued participation in mentorship and career-readiness programs offered

    • Provide testimonial / review / feedback on request


Eligibility

To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:

  • Based in US only

  • Identify as a woman or non-binary person

  • High school seniors accepted to an undergraduate program at an accredited four year college / university for Fall 2025

  • OR
    Community college students planning to transfer to a 4-year accredited institution in Fall 2025

  • Interest in pursuing a degree in field related to video game development

  • In need of financial assistance to attend college:

    • Complete your FAFSA application

    • Provide proof of acceptance into a US college
